Cactuar Land - The First Visit (22/07/2021)
Welcome to cactuar land, you have somehow managed to stumble your way here, perhaps you were daydreaming and all of a sudden you walked all the way over here.
Yet everything looks familiar. The fields don't look any different and what lies in store may not be unique enough to gain interest.
The cactuars don't attack but don't get too close, they may look nice, but some may just impale you and run away. As long as you show respect to gigantuar, then you should be safe.
Don't go down the forbidden valley, cousin tonberry is there and he doesn't like strangers in fact he should be in prison but there ain't any law here.
Perhaps I shall give an insight to the thoughts I have never explained or at least start trying to, what discoveries I have found in one room and any question you want me to answer
Thinking about what to say is a daunting task, it is like speaking to myself, but someone can read my thoughts. When I think of something to say, I reason with myself to leave it and find something else. Well, I got to stop doing that and I suppose this is a start.
The Holy site of pre-2000 tech
Sometimes I sit doing nothing active with my body and just remain entranced at this digital screen, yet I eat as much as a normal person would. Interesting how much fuel we consume daily but perhaps the brain doesn’t see it this way and acting out of routine.
That’s it really, training your brain into habits is a way of getting things done. Anyways, let us begin.
Ever since my brother got married, his old room became mine rightfully so.
It had a lot of stuff in it that belonged to my dad and although it is still there, I decided to explore it all.
BEHOLD, the ancient storage room of pre 2000 tech!
Test
Of course, it looks terrible, it wasn’t sorted when everything was sandwiched in but it sure is a library. So why is this significant?
I have always been some sort of collectionist and appreciated things that may have been useful years ago but seem redundant today, like historical artefacts. Only this is for technology to some extent. Let’s start off with the easy things.
There contains a hard drive that contains decades of pictures dating back to perhaps the 80s. It includes my youth and beyond and relatives before they ever thought of having children.
It is interesting, it is looking into history without the use of a painting or artefact but looking through the eyes of someone in the past, as photos are. Lots of things to see, the design of cars, fashion and general design for exteriors and interiors….
Hmm before I continue, I will mention some of my findings beforehand.
under my new bed was a storage unit for CDs. I sorted them out and arranged them from educational, music, software and unknown extras. Half of the stuff was free legit software, something that may seem rather strange nowadays because free software is a "trial" or just a cesspool for malware, depending on your experiences.
Of course, we have evolved that most of the software here has been integrated into one massive program today for example photoshop.
But I have yet to find a technological library for such programs. They are of course redundant and may not hold much historical value other than being an antique of what we used to be capable for.
