Timber Maniacs! (18 January, 2026)

This is long overdue, as it should have been up and running since December 2025!

This is an idea I have had regarding reporting Final Fantasy related news and opinions, so one is factual and the other to just be an opinion regarding Final Fantasy as a whole. This was very delayed due to many setback in my personal life which made working on this website almost impossible to my standards but slowly and surely I have persevered and managed to get this done at last.

So why is it called Timber Maniacs? It is the name of the publishing company in Final Fantasy 8, so it seems appropriate to be named after that! What news is there to really expect?

That is an interesting thought. I currently envision it to be small scale news to document Final Fantasy from now and the future, such as game releases, interviews, what you would expect really. I wish to keep it simple and straight to the point, as if I am documenting the news and hype generated in real time as a snapshot of the internet history it could provide but also serve to me as my own research which I would love to share. Not a documentary no, just factual news where possible.

Opinions on the other hand, is an idea I have that enables my own thoughts regarding recent developments to not dilute the news. It isn’t entirely factual, it is an opinion piece which offers more creativity but it isn’t just about the latest news, it is more importantly just opinions regarding Final Fantasy as a whole, or something specific such as what is the best track to listen to, favorite weapon etc. Timber Maniacs will be very versatile this way and I think it will be a healthy addition to the site.

Furthermore to make it interesting, it won’t just be me writing opinion pieces. I have a new addition who happily volunteered to add to the site, to just express themselves. Which is already visible on Timber Maniacs with the first opinion piece: “FFVII REBIRTH: The Creation Of A Sense Of Adventure”. Written by KalmAdventurer04, who would like to keep a low profile for now, has an interesting read that is something so simple yet deep on one aspect of their time playing FFVII Rebirth. This could very well evolve to many users in the future expressing themselves in similar fashion which would be delightful to see in the future, should we get that far!

Now that Timber Maniacs exists, expect even more content in the future!
